The Waynesboro First Aid Crew is seeking responsible and dependable applicants to fulfill an open AEMT/Paramedic full time position. Our system handles approximately 5,000 calls for service annually and offers a competitive benefits package. Candidates must possess good communications skills (written/verbal), be able to deal with patients, coworkers, and the general public in a professional and courteous manner.
Successful candidates must be able to work calmly in high stress situations, maintain effective working relationships, and be required to submit to urinalysis and federal background checks. Candidates must be able to commit to modified self-scheduled hours ranging between 60 to 96 hours per pay period depending on FTE [(1) 48h per week; (2) 36h per week; (3) alternating 24-36h per week].
Interested candidates must have the following:
- Current Virginia EMS certification
- BLS (CPR) certification and other appropriate AHA (ALS) certifications
- Current EVOC Class 2
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent
