The Waynesboro First Aid Crew is seeking responsible and dependable applicants to fulfill an open AEMT/Intermediate/Paramedic full time position. Our system handles approximately 4,800 calls for service annually and offers a competitive benefits package. Candidates must possess good communications skills (written/verbal), be able to deal with patients, coworkers, and the general public in a professional and courteous manner.
Successful candidates must be able to work calmly in high stress situations, maintain effective working relationships, be flexible with scheduling to meet the needs of the agency and will be required to submit to urinalysis and federal background checks.
Interested candidates must have the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Virginia certification as an AEMT, Intermediate, or Paramedic
- Professional Rescuer CPR
- Current EVOC Class 2
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License
- 1 year of EMS experience required, 2 years of EMS experience preferred
