Nearly 5,000 times per year, the Waynesboro First Aid Crew (WFAC) responds to persons in need. Now we are asking for your help with our annual fund drive. We respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to approximately 30 square miles of service area in the City of Waynesboro and Augusta County. In the past year, WFAC employees provided 50,000 hours of life saving care in 2024.
Now more than ever your support is critical as a new ambulance is needed to replace our 2014 Dodge ambulance with over 167,000 miles. A new ambulance is estimated to cost $360,000. Our ability to provide continued emergency medical services depends heavily on your generosity. WFAC is a private organization made up of professional care providers augmented by a cadre of volunteers. The cost to keep our agency in business is just over 1.5 million dollars annually. While we do receive payment from insurance companies and support from the City of Waynesboro, private donations are essential.
All contributions are tax-deductible. One attractive way to support WFAC is through the donation of appreciated stock. Donors avoid capital gains taxes, a true “win-win.” Gifts through estate planning have also played an important role over the history of the organization. WFAC is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Our continued ability to pay for staffing, the training of our members, purchase supplies, fuel and update our equipment and vehicles, all rely on your donation. Please consider making a financial contribution to WFAC. You cannot put a price on your life, the life of a loved one, or a neighbor. Emergencies can happen at any time to anyone and the next emergency could be yours. You have counted on us to be there for you since 1951 and we continue to count on you.
