The Waynesboro First Aid Crew prides itself in providing advanced vehicle rescue to our first due, including Afton mountain and interstate 64 from mile marker 91 to 103. All rescue-qualified personnel maintain proficiency in vehicle extrication in addition to a variety of other specialties including vertical rope rescue, cave rescue, confined space and trench rescue, and water rescue. All personnel are required to attend frequent trainings throughout the year in addition to successfully completing an annual proficiency exam. Additionally, as a rescue squad all personnel are required to have a general awareness of rescue operations.
